Remove the fasteners securing the tail lamp assembly and then slide assembly out and so you can replace bulb(s). Bank check out the diagrams (Below). Please let united states of america know if you lot need annihilation else to get the problem fixed.

The information you lot responded with is for the brake calorie-free on the corner of the car. I am referring to the strip of lights that is along the trunk lid where it meets the bumper next to the license plate. I removed the rug lining from under the trunk lid and removed the basics from the bolts that hold the light strip in place just cannot remove the light strip to admission where the bulb is. These are not back up lights. The trunk hat has a red strip for brakes, then a white strip for support and ii cherry-red blocks on either side of the license plate that come on when you lot employ brakes. I am not referring to the additional lights that are on the corner of each side of the car which come on when the car lights are on and brighten with braking.

There are no brake lights in that panel, simply park lights. You are on the right runway with the process, in that location should be about 5-7 nuts that hold the panel. Merely as I said, there are no brake lights in that panel, unless you are referring to the high mount lamp, and information technology is serviceable simply by replacement.

Thanks for your reply but yes these are brake lights. They are red and they only go on when you put your human foot on the restriction. I would consider that a brake light. There are about 12 bolts that hold the console that goes across the back of the motorcar on the truck lid. The panel is loosened from the auto but I tin non pull it away far enough to admission where the seedling is. It seems that at that place is something else holding information technology in place. Any idea what??

See pic attached - The automobile was purchased used and plain there had been a slight fender bough which resulted in cracking i of the red lenses.

Sorry nigh that, thank you for clarifying with a pic though. that is considered your loftier mount stop lamp and is replaced as an assembly. that entire strip, including the painted expanse, comes off together.

Thanks again, only these pictures do not reflect what I run into when I open the torso. In that location is no strip on the outside to remove. The lights go downto the lesser of the trunk lid - where the lid touches the auto when the chapeau is airtight. At that place is zero removable on the exterior of the car. You have to remove the carpet padding from the trunk lid and and so remove the bolts visible nether that. This is a Seville if that matters. I accept not been able to find a flick that correlates to what I see when I look at the car or take it apart. Unfortunately, I did not take a pic of when I had the motorcar autonomously concluding dark. Information technology does not await annihilation like the diagram you submitted. The lights are in one slice - on either side and on summit of the license plate.

Yes, the lights are the long strip in the 2nd diagram above. It looks exactly equally your picture does to me?

The kickoff diagram I posted will be used later on you lot remove the entire strip with painted surface.. It is showing the red strip area being removed from the painted strip.

Ok, I tin can encounter that this is how you remove the elevation red strip light. I am not trying to remove that lite/lense. I am trying to remove the lower strip that includes the white back up light strip. The bulb that I want to replace should be in the 2 square red lenses to the side of the license plate. The one on the driver's side - the red lense is also broken - therefore information technology looks articulate in the motion-picture show I attached earlier.
Are you lot telling me I accept to remove the top part starting time to remove the bottom? If and then, I nonetheless don't see whatsoever way to remove the superlative part from the outside. Is it possible to replace a bulb in the bottom strip every bit I described? I have not been able to locate that whole piece from a junk 1000 all the same.

Could you please highlight or betoken to the part y'all are talking almost in your flick. I don't understand what you are trying to replace if it isn't the strip I showed or the side restriction lamp I posted commencement.

I take highlited in cherry-red how the trunk closes - information technology meets the bumper under the license plate. I have highlited, in yellow, the set of ligts/lenses that are connected to where I am trying to replace the bulb and have pointed to the specific area where the light is out with a xanthous arrow. The area that houses the license plate too seems to exist part of this fix of lights/lenses.

How do I get access to my brake light in the trunk hat so that I may replace the bulb? This is like trying to pause into Fort Knox! I have given it one attempt but it seems that I may need a special tool to continue past my recent progress. This is the latest model auto I take owned and then I have never encountered such nonsense to replace a bulb. I typically own '70 or '80 vehicles and so this is new to me.

There are no restriction lights in the trunk chapeau, simply park and backup lights. Unless you are talking nearly the high mounted brake lamp, it is a LED style calorie-free, and only serviceable by replacement. To remove the lower light board(including the license plate), remove the deck lid trim panel by removing the push-in retainers. It is held in with 10mm nuts, there is like five-7 of them approximately.
